I want to go back to school and get my Masters degree. Online would be easiest due to working full time…but I am concerned with what the perceptions of quality is in the business world when contrasted against a Masters obtained at a State University.
It isn't a question of accreditation. it is a question of quality and the perception of quality.
University of Phoenix is accredited — but it is not selective and it is not good. They were recently fined a record $9.8MM for sleazy recruiting practices. I've read that they are currently under investigation for padding their placement numbers. They accept nearly anyone who applies — so employers do not trust that their graduates know anything. Companies like Intel have decided not to pay for their employees to take classes there because they lack rigor.
In addition, it is a For Profit corporation — so not only is it not as respected as a state school — but it is much more expensive. In my opinion, you would do better to get a tattoo on your forehead that says "I have a bad education." It would be equally effective and a lot cheaper.

I already know about Phoenix online and others, I am looking for actual state universities or private colleges with actual campuses that people have heard of.
Fort Hays State University (Master's of Liberal Studies with concentration in history available. This institution is accredited by a legitimate accreditation association.)
Norwich University (Military history only, but it is also accredited by a recognized body.)
Having said that, both degrees, although accredited by recognized accreditation associations, would be considered worthless in the larger context of academia, because legitimate Master's degrees in the liberal arts require close mentoring and guided research within the context of an active intellectual community. Online programs can only provide reading lists, examinations, and discussion groups, and are only able to focus on content or data.
A real Master's degree from a "brick and mortar" institution is not merely about reading, taking tests, and discussing the reading with others. A real Master's degree focuses on theory and methodology. It requires a setting in which a student can take the first steps toward a certain level of competency in a subject area, guided by professors with expertise in that area, and engaged by peers with ongoing similar methodological and theoretical investigations.
I do wish you the best in your pursuit of further studies.

There are many online degree programs offered on the internet. How can I check if the online degree is accepted by the job market. A school teacher with a master's degree in education had to pay back her salary increase because the degree wasn't accepted by the Dept of Ed.
Yes there are many but are they from accredited institutions? Need to be very careful about that since only those from such an institution will be nationally recognized. If it's accredited I'd go for it. Check this website for the list of online degrees that are nationally accepted

Okay, so I’d really like to go to grad school. I want to work within the state government as well as working for non-profit organizations, therefore I’d like to get my Masters in Non-Profit Management or Public Affairs (still a little undecided). I found a few graet schools online where I could earn my Masters and I ever did my research by checking them out on the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Anyway, I wanted to know (because I’ve asked around to teachers at my job) would an employer frown upon someone who wants to work at their office/company/business and they’ve earned their Masters degree online?
Ask your employer what colleges they accept from a business standpoint. First and foremost you need to know the school is accredited. Don’t go to a school that is not accredited by one of the major accreditation factions…Here is the list of the accrediting factions…http://www.back2college.com/library/accreditfaq.htm
Also, its good to know if your school is accredited with a business accreditation AACSB and also regionally accredited. Here is the link where you can look up to see if your college is accredited by the AACSB http://www.aacsb.edu/
These types of accreditations, if the employer is that interested in your school, the accreditations will garantee their approval in the lines of business. Make sure especially with online schools they are definitley regionally accredited.

I am in the Associates in Health Care Administration through University of Phoenix and I am not that satisfied with the quality of education and the instructors credibility seems questionable.
I want to continue in the Health Care Administrator's program. I want to earn a Master's. However, I would like to do this through a better college.
Any college's or ideas would help me greatly, thank you!
While several such programs (see Columbia, e.g.) offer individual courses online, I don't think that any currently offer degrees that way. Furthermore, if you could find a program that would do this, the entrance requirements would have to be the same as those of the traditional university to avoid diluting the school's reputation, so unless you have a near-perfect high school GPA and SAT score, you wouldn't be able to get in.
I can sympathize, however, with your concerns with the U. of P. There may very well be a middle ground out there - a recognized, but not elite, school, that does offer such a program online. You might want to look at some of the state universities in more remote locations, which have used online programs as a way of maintaining enrollments despite less than perfect physical locations.

After i graduate from a 4 year nursing school.. Im thinking of working and earning a masters online .. is this a good idea and what are some good online schools
it depends on the program. I know there are online programs for MBAs but not sure if online program would be appropriate for the medical field.
My opinion - even for MBAs, it is still much better to go through the full time in person experience. That is how you can build your network and really have a full MBA experience. Online programs would offer you the certificate / degree but would offer other limited social interactions, networking, etc.

I want a master's program in applying statistics in business situations, but not a master's program in statistics. I'd also prefer to not get an MBA, unless the MBA program has an aggressive focus on business stats and marketing research and quantitative analysis. Any good ideas?
I also won't go to the University of Phoenix or other exclusively online place, I'm searching for a more reputable program.
There probably is an on-line degree like that. Here is your first business statistics question:
What is the probablility that you will get a good job if you get a graduate degree on-line?
(hint — not very good).
My advice — get an MS in Operations Research from a real college — or get an MBA from a good school where you take all your electives in Operations Research and Decision Sciences.
